Follow along as we highlight our graduating seniors! Our last, but certainly not least, senior to highlight is Emilie-Grace King!
Where are you from and why did you choose Auburn?
Valdosta, Ga - my roommate at a gap year my freshman year convinced me to apply as a transfer.
What are you studying?
Exercise Science and a minor in Non-Profits
What are your plans for after graduation?
Grad school to get a Doctorate in Physical Therapy
What are some things you enjoy other than riding?
Anything outdoors, attempting to cook and hanging out with friends
Favorite memory being on the team?
My favorite memory of being on the team was the last Alabama away show. Everyone got along so well and meshed great that it was all so much fun! I’ve loved being able to go to shows this year to be able to get to know more of my teammates who I may not have spent a lot of time with otherwise.
Funniest memory being on the team?
My funniest memory would be trying to find hunt seat clothes for the western boys to wear in their first show. It was definitely a challenge but we did it.
Something you will never forget throughout your years at Auburn?
The team who has always been there for me and been my family and home away from home.
Advice to younger students?
What you out into the team is what you will get out of it. My advice would be to always go to team events with an open mind and take all of the opportunities to be involved. You won’t regret it. Carpool to events or meetings, go get dinner with teammates afterwards and enjoy the little things.
Favorite IHSA horse?
Anything else you want to say?
I am so thankful for all of the opportunities that this team has given me. I am so thankful for the teammates, learning challenges and the ability to lead with the best co-President this past year. Thank you for everything and see y’all soon!!
