WHO WE ARE
The Auburn IHSA Equestrian Team was reestablished at Auburn University in 2015. We train and compete in the hunt seat discipline. We provide college students of all levels to interact and train to become better riders and horsemen.
Currently, our 40 members range from general non-riding members to Open competing members. We have long-term members and those who joined in their junior year! Members can participate in competitions, practices, facility/clean-up days, volunteering, scrimmages, social events, horse care, and much more.

OUR MISSION & CORE VALUES
We believe in learning, sportsmanship, inclusivity, and community. Any Auburn student is welcome, regardless of riding experience, gender, or financial means. We strive to foster leadership, friendship, and mutual support inside and outside the barn. We believe in using competition as a tool for growth and teamwork.
WHAT IS IHSA?
The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) promotes competition for riders of all skill levels, who compete individually and as teams at regional, zone, and national levels. The association was founded on the principle that any college student should be able to participate in horse shows regardless of his or her financial status or riding level. You do not need your own horse to participate. Horses are provided and assigned at practice, and drawn at shows. Emphasis is on learning, sportsmanship, and fun.
